First Steps Into Leadership Training

First Steps into Leadership

I have been asked, on a number of occasions by nursery owners to organise and deliver my popular Leadership and Management Training courses that I have delivered for many years within a number of local authorities across England.

This course is suitable for educators who are within their first management role or thinking about a role within management.

Delegates receive full course hand-outs, skills and knowledge audit, telephone and email support between sessions, personal coaching, a reflective journal and certificates of attendance.

The course  is held in a plush training venue and includes a three course restaurant lunch and unlimited refreshments.

I have found it helpful and thought provoking. We have looked at so many different areas from management styles, how to be an effective leader and to get the best out of your team, to mission statements and how to tackle SEF forms and be prepared for Ofsted inspections.

As a result of the course I have discussed with my manager how we can set up better systems for more regular supervision of staff and we have managed to get this up and running. I have also reflected on aspects of what I see as good leadership and how I want that to influence my practice. My manager and I have decided to start peer-to-peer observations and the course has given me a useful audit tool.

The Training is held over 4 dates, one per month and all delegates must be free to attend all dates in order to complete the course.
