Press release Laura Henry-Allain’s popular characters JoJo & Gran Gran launch in TV programme

JoJo & Gran Gran, based on the popular characters by Early Years specialist Laura Henry-Allain, is to feature among the new season’s offer on BBC’s pre-school channel, CBeebies.

JoJo & Gran Gran are characters close to the heart of Laura who has worked alongside the production team to develop the duo for TV.

“JoJo and Gran Gran is loosely based on my own relationship with my Grandmother,” said Laura. “I wanted to convey the deep connection between the two, the excitement at the world around her that JoJo has and Gran Gran’s wisdom, experience and zest for life”.

MPs launch global petition to promote early childhood development

It is my absolute pleasure to have Dame Tessa Jowell, MP, as my guest blogger, especially as the topic and petition on promoting early childhood development is very close to my heart and I am an advocate for this campaign. Dame Jowell’s petition mirrors the World Forum in Early Care and Education support of the Millennium Development Goals.  They are aiming to have the Millennium Development Goals featured at their International Conference in Puerto Rico, May 2014.
