Press release Laura Henry-Allain’s popular characters JoJo & Gran Gran launch in TV programme

JoJo & Gran Gran, based on the popular characters by Early Years specialist Laura Henry-Allain, is to feature among the new season’s offer on BBC’s pre-school channel, CBeebies.

JoJo & Gran Gran are characters close to the heart of Laura who has worked alongside the production team to develop the duo for TV.

“It’s been such a delight seeing JoJo & Gran Gran make it to the screen,” added Laura. “We wouldn’t have got to this point without the hard work of so many people, and I’d like to thank the CBeebies production team, the writers, the animation team, the voiceover artists and, of course, the wonderful children who appear in the child-led live […]

Together in the 2020s: twenty ideas for creating a Britain for all ages by 2030

It was a privilege to have contributed to this new evidenced report by United for all ages

Intergenerational projects can change attitudes to ageing, reduce ageism and increase trust in a country where people are often divided by age, as seen at the recent general election.

Over the years, as we know, training budgets have been squeezed; this is a shame for educators and a travesty for the young children and families with whom they work.

It is vital educators make the most of the training courses available, that they come away feeling inspired, with a bucket load of ideas and suggestions that will help them grow – both personally and professionally […]
